Hello There !

Time in USA
My family and I moved to the United States when I was a teenager. It was a big change, but one that opened up a world of opportunity. I went on to study Information Technology Management and Digital Marketing at the University of Michigan, where my passion for technology really began to take shape.

During my studies, I launched a small e-commerce business selling custom phone cases. I built the site using the free version of Magento—which, to be honest, was full of bugs. I ended up reporting many of them to the support teams, and surprisingly, I enjoyed the process. That’s when I first got a taste for software testing and realized how satisfying it was to find problems and help fix them.

Later, in a job interview, I shared that story—and it resonated. I landed a role as a manual QA tester, but my interest quickly shifted toward test automation and writing code. There was something fascinating about watching tests run flawlessly and consistently. It felt like watching magic unfold.

It was also in the U.S. that I met my future wife—who, coincidentally, was from Poland. I'd always been curious about life in Europe, and with that connection in place, I decided to take a leap and move to Poland to explore a new chapter.
Time in Poland
Moving to Poland felt like stepping into a dream. I landed an amazing job at Aviva, surrounded by talented and supportive people who quickly became lifelong friends. Although I was based in Warsaw, most of our team—BAs and Product Owners—were in London, so I traveled to the UK often for work.

Poland became my home base, but I used every opportunity to explore Europe. Flights were cheap, and weekends often turned into quick adventures—like a spontaneous trip to Rome for just $50 round-trip. It felt like I was backpacking Europe while working full-time, and I loved every minute of it.

Then COVID hit. Everything paused. Travel stopped. Life became still. I wasn’t sure if it was fear, restlessness, or simply a need for change, but during that time, my wife and I made a bold decision: we were going to backpack around the world.

Leaving Aviva was tough—it was more than just a job—but it was the right step. We packed our bags and set off on a new chapter, beginning our journey through South America and Southeast Asia.

Backpacking The World
Our journey began in Peru, where we explored the legacy of the Inca Empire and hiked to the incredible Machu Picchu. We ventured deep into the Amazon rainforest, then continued through Bolivia and vibrant Brazil, soaking in each country’s unique culture and energy.

Next came Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, we explored the cultural heart of Java and the peaceful beauty of Bali. Singapore amazed us with its blend of nature and modern city life, and its incredible food scene. We traveled through Thailand, took a slow boat down the Mekong River in Laos, and rode the stunning Ha Giang Loop by motorbike in Vietnam—an unforgettable adventure through mountains and valleys. We ended in Cambodia, wandering among the ancient temples of Angkor.

It was a time of freedom, learning, and unforgettable moments. After months on the road, we felt ready to settle. We chose London—a city full of diversity and opportunity, close to Poland, but with a global energy that fit the life we wanted to build.
